PUBLIC NOTICE

Maximum Statutory Contribution Increase

The attention of all contributing employers is drawn to Legal Notice No. 5 of 2025, Section 2 (1) (a) thereof, which states that wages level for statutory contributions for the year 2026 shall be payable by a contributing employer in respect of wages of Four Thousand Three Hundred Emalangeni (E4,300.00) or less during any calendar month.

This means that with effect from 1st January 2026, the maximum contribution per employee will increase from E400.00 to E430.00 per month (215:215).

In exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 14 and 15 of the Swaziland National Provident Fund Order, 1974, the Minister for Labour and Social Security, after consultation with the Minister for Finance and. Minister for Economic Planning and Development hereby makes the following Regulations – Citation and Commencement.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Eswatini National Provident Fund (Statutory Contributions) Regulations, 2025.

(2) These Regulations shall come into force on the 1st January, 2025, and shall continue to be in force for a period not exceeding five years.

Wages Level for Statutory Contributions

(1) The Statutory Contributions to be paid by a contributing employer on the level of wages shall be as follows –

(a) Four Thousand Emalangeni (E4,000.00) or less during any calendar month for 2025;

(b) Four Thousand Three Hundred Emalangeni (E4,300.00) or less during any calendar month for 2026;

(c) Four Thousand six Hundred Emalangeni (E4,600.00) or less during any calendar month

(d) Four Thousand Nine Hundred Emalangeni (E4,900.00) or less during any calendar month for 2028; and

(e) Five Thousand Two Hundred Emalangen (65,200.00) or less during any calendar month for 2029;

(2) The wages of eligible employees in excess of the amounts stipulated in subsection

(2) (a) to (e) during any calendar month shall be disregarded for the purpose or statutory contributions in respect of wage limits outside those stipulated for the year under reference.
