Lidlelantfongeni was proud to participate in this year’s Buganu Festival, one of Eswatini’s most significant cultural celebrations. Rooted in the marula harvest and the country’s rich traditions, the festival continues to bring together communities from across the nation in a shared spirit of unity, heritage, and cultural pride.
The Fund’s presence at Buganu formed part of its broader stakeholder engagement and outreach efforts. By participating in spaces that are culturally meaningful and widely accessible, Lidlelantfongeni is able to connect with members and the public in ways that are both familiar and impactful.
Throughout the festival, the Fund’s team engaged directly with attendees, providing guidance on member registration, employer compliance, and the long-term value of contributing to the national provident fund. These interactions created important opportunities to answer questions, clarify processes, and build a deeper understanding of social protection among both workers and employers.
Beyond information-sharing, the engagement reinforced the importance of financial literacy and encouraged a culture of saving for the future—particularly among individuals who may not regularly access formal service channels.
Participation in the festival also reflects Lidlelantfongeni’s ongoing commitment to being a visible and accessible national institution—one that not only delivers services, but also actively participates in the cultural spaces where communities gather.
Events such as Buganu provide a valuable platform to reach a broader audience, including young people, informal sector workers, and rural communities. By maintaining a strong presence at national events, the Fund continues to strengthen trust, deepen relationships, and ensure that information about members’ rights and benefits reaches those who need it most.
