ENPF Celebrates Employers Who Are Getting It Right

There are organisations that go beyond meeting expectations, and then there are those that set the standard for others to follow. At the ENPF Strategic Partnership Awards, the spotlight was on employers who have made compliance a consistent and meaningful part of how they operate.

Hosted by the CEO, the ceremony brought together leaders and representatives from organisations that have consistently honoured their obligations to their employees. Among those recognised were the Eswatini Water Services Corporation, Eswatini Electricity Company, Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation, Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency, Tabankhulu Estates, Montigny Investments, and Ubombo Sugar.

It was a moment to pause, reflect, and simply say: we see you, and it matters.

What stood out throughout the event was a shared understanding that compliance goes beyond ticking boxes.

For these organisations, ensuring that employee contributions are remitted accurately and on time is part of a deeper commitment, to fairness, to accountability, and to the people who make their operations possible. It speaks to a culture where responsibility isn’t enforced; it’s embraced.

And in a business environment where challenges are real and pressures are constant, that kind of consistency deserves recognition.

Each of the organisations honoured has, in its own way, set a standard.

They’ve shown that it is possible to run successful operations while still putting people first. They’ve shown that doing the right thing doesn’t have to come at the expense of performance, in fact, it often strengthens it.

More importantly, they’ve helped raise the bar for what employer responsibility looks like in Eswatini today, demonstrating that compliance can be embedded into everyday business practices, including how organisations select partners, suppliers, and contractors.
At the heart of it all are the employees.

Every contribution that is correctly remitted represents security for the future, retirement savings that will one day make a real difference in someone’s life. When employers follow through on this responsibility, they are doing more than complying with a requirement; they are protecting dignity and building trust.

Ensuring that compliance becomes a consistent expectation across procurement processes is a natural extension of this responsibility. When organisations prioritise working with compliant partners and require valid compliance certification in tenders, contracts, and partnerships, they help reinforce a system that works for everyone.

The Strategic Partnership Awards are part of a broader effort by ENPF to build a culture where compliance is not only expected, but valued.
Encouraging the consistent use of compliance certification across industries creates positive momentum. It introduces a level of accountability that goes beyond individual organisations, gradually influencing entire value chains and bringing more employers into full compliance.

In doing so, the benefits ripple outward, strengthening businesses, protecting employees, and reinforcing the long-term sustainability of the Fund.

By continuing to work closely with employers who are committed to doing things properly, and by promoting practices that make compliance a standard requirement across industries, ENPF is helping to shape an environment where fairness is upheld, workers are protected, and trust in the system continues to grow.

And sometimes, it’s important to take a moment to recognise those who are already making that future possible.
